Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026 · Effective: May 27, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using any part of the Webb.in platform—including webb.in, app.webb.in, dev.webb.in, blog.webb.in, support.webb.in, status.webb.in, and khur.am (collectively, the “Service”)—you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Webb.in provides a URL shortening platform that enables users to create branded short links, track click analytics with UTM attribution, manage custom domains with automatic SSL, configure webhooks, integrate with third-party analytics (GA4, Meta CAPI, GTM), manage teams with role-based access and SAML SSO, protect links with passwords and expiration dates, customise social media previews, generate QR codes, and access all features programmatically via a REST API.
3. Account Registration
Basic URL shortening on the landing page does not require an account. For all other features you must register with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
If you use SAML SSO via your organisation’s Identity Provider, your account is governed by both these Terms and your organisation’s policies. Your organisation’s Team Owner may manage your access, including deprovisioning.
3a. Eligibility & Age Requirements
By creating an account or using the Service you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 13 years of age (or 16 if you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or any jurisdiction with a higher digital-consent age)
- You are at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) if you subscribe to a paid plan, enter into Team / Enterprise arrangements, or sign any commercial agreement with us
- You are not a person prohibited from using the Service under the laws of the United States, your country of residence, or any other applicable jurisdiction
- You are not located in, organised under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in any country, region, or territory subject to comprehensive U.S., EU, UK, or UN sanctions (currently including but not limited to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, the Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions of Ukraine)
- You are not on any U.S. or international restricted-party list (including the OFAC SDN list, the U.S. BIS Entity List, the U.S. Denied Persons List, EU consolidated sanctions, or UK HMT sanctions)
- If you are accepting these Terms on behalf of an organisation, you have full legal authority to bind that organisation
We may terminate any account at any time if we discover that the holder is below the required age or otherwise ineligible. Children are not knowingly permitted to use the Service; see our Privacy Policy for details on child-data handling.
3b. Account Security & Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for safeguarding the credentials, API keys, webhook signing secrets, and SSO sessions associated with your account. You agree to:
- Choose a strong, unique password and enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) where available
- Never share credentials or API keys; never embed API keys in client-side code, mobile apps, public Git repositories, or browser extensions
- Promptly rotate any credential, key, or secret you believe may have been exposed
- Notify us within 48 hours at security@webb.in of any suspected or actual unauthorised access, breach, or compromise affecting your account
- Accept full responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account, your API keys, your webhooks, your custom domains, and any Team members you invite
- Not use the Service in a manner that constitutes “credential stuffing”, bot-net coordination, or that uses bulk or stolen identities to register accounts
We are not liable for any loss, damage, or unauthorised use arising from your failure to safeguard credentials, your decision to disable MFA, or your sharing of access tokens with third parties.
4. Subscription Plans & Billing
The Service offers Free, Professional ($9/month), and Business ($59/month) plans. Plan limits: Free (500 links/mo, 50,000 clicks/mo, 1 custom domain, 60 req/min API, no webhooks/integrations); Professional (unlimited links, 5 custom domains, 3 team members, 3 webhooks, GA4/GTM/Meta integrations, 250 req/min API); Business (unlimited links, 25 custom domains, 20 team members, SSO/SAML 2.0, unlimited webhooks, 2,000 req/min API). Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you agree to:
- Provide accurate billing information
- Authorise recurring charges until you cancel
- Understand that upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing
- Understand that downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period
- Understand that cancellations retain features until the end of the paid period, then revert to the Free plan
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current price for at least 60 days.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to create, shorten, distribute, or redirect to content that:
- Links to malware, ransomware, spyware, phishing pages, credential-harvesting pages, or any other malicious code or site
- Constitutes spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or commercial content distributed without consent
- Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation, including sanctions laws, export controls, and consumer protection regulations
- Infringes on intellectual property rights, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights of any person or entity
- Contains, depicts, promotes, or facilitates child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child exploitation, or grooming of minors — we have zero tolerance and will immediately report such content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement authorities
- Depicts, promotes, or facilitates terrorism, violent extremism, mass violence, or incitement to hatred based on protected characteristics
- Facilitates human trafficking, forced labour, or sexual exploitation of adults
- Facilitates fraud, identity theft, unauthorised account access, or financial crimes
- Constitutes doxxing, non-consensual intimate imagery, or stalking/harassment of identifiable individuals
- Is subject to sanctions administered by OFAC, the EU, UK, or UN, or that would otherwise involve a sanctioned person or territory
- Attempts to circumvent, abuse, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure (including DDoS, scraping, or reverse engineering)
- Creates misleading or deceptive short links to impersonate another organisation, person, or service
- Uses automated tools to create links at a volume that violates your plan’s quotas or disrupts others’ use of the Service
- Collects, re-identifies, or aggregates personal data of link-clickers beyond what the Service lawfully provides in aggregate analytics
- Uses webhooks or integrations to transmit data to sanctioned entities or countries
- Facilitates gambling without a valid licence in the jurisdiction of operation
- Promotes, sells, or distributes pharmaceutical drugs, controlled substances, or paraphernalia without all required legal authorisations
- Promotes, sells, or distributes firearms, ammunition, explosives, 3D-printed weapons, ghost-gun parts, weapon conversion kits, or other regulated weaponry in contravention of applicable law
- Constitutes synthetic or AI-generated content (deepfakes, voice-cloning) used to defraud, defame, sexualise, or impersonate any real person without their explicit consent
- Promotes pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing fraud, “get-rich-quick” investment scams, pump-and-dump schemes, fake initial coin offerings (ICOs), rug-pull crypto projects, or other financial fraud
- Distributes pirated software, cracks, keygens, stolen credentials, stolen credit card numbers, “combo lists”, or any other illicitly obtained data
- Promotes or facilitates election interference, voter suppression, foreign influence operations, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour targeting democratic processes
- Promotes manifestly false or harmful health/medical misinformation that poses a risk of physical harm (e.g., fake cures, anti-vaccine disinformation contradicting public-health consensus)
- Sells or promotes counterfeit goods, fake credentials/diplomas, fake reviews, fake social-media engagement, or essay-mill / academic-fraud services
- Distributes hacking tools, exploits, RATs, stalkerware, or instructions for unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or networks
- Engages in cryptocurrency mining via redirect interstitials, click-fraud, ad-injection, or any deceptive monetisation of clicks
- Hosts, links to, or facilitates non-consensual intimate imagery (“revenge porn”), sextortion, or the unauthorised disclosure of private sexual material
- Targets, harasses, or discriminates against any person or group based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Facilitates suicide, self-harm, eating-disorder promotion (pro-ana / pro-mia), or other content posing imminent risk to vulnerable persons
- Constitutes or facilitates animal cruelty, illegal wildlife trade, or other criminal conduct
- Constitutes a redirect chain designed to evade abuse detection, security scanners, or to launder traffic from prohibited destinations
- Links to, hosts, or primarily serves adult or pornographic content — including but not limited to sexually explicit images, videos, live streams, or escort/adult services — regardless of the legal status of such content in the user’s jurisdiction. This restriction is necessary to comply with our payment processor’s terms, protect the Webb.in brand, and ensure compatibility with enterprise customers and email/ad networks
- Uses another URL-shortening or redirection service (e.g., bit.ly, goo.gl, t.co, or any similar intermediary) as the destination URL, thereby creating a multi-hop redirect chain — regardless of intent; all destination URLs must resolve directly to the final content
- Points to, or routes traffic through, an ad-fraud, click-fraud, or traffic-laundering network — including any service that programmatically redirects visitors to third-party ad networks in exchange for revenue, inflates click metrics, or monetises redirects without the visitor’s knowledge
We reserve the right to disable any link, webhook, integration, domain, or account — immediately and without prior notice — if we determine, or have reasonable grounds to suspect, a violation of this section. We may act on signals including (but not limited to) automated reputation scans, third-party threat feeds, destination-domain analysis, redirect-pattern analysis, click-rate anomalies, or user reports, without waiting for a formal determination. For egregious violations (including CSAM, malware, and fraud), we will preserve evidence and may share it with law enforcement. What constitutes a violation or reasonable suspicion is at our sole discretion.
5a. Abuse Reporting
If you encounter a Webb.in short link that violates these Terms or applicable law, you have the following reporting options:
- Submit a report using our online abuse report form
- Email report@webb.in for general abuse
- Email dmca@webb.in for copyright / DMCA takedown requests
- Email legal@webb.in for law enforcement inquiries
We target a 24-hour review SLA for abuse reports. Reports involving CSAM, malware, or active phishing are treated as critical and reviewed immediately. We will notify you of the outcome if you provide a contact email. Deliberately false or bad-faith reports may result in your IP being blocked.
6. API Usage
API access is subject to rate limits per API key: Free (60 req/min), Professional (250 req/min), Business (2,000 req/min), Enterprise (custom). API keys are for your use only and must not be shared or embedded in client-side code. We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are abused or exposed. You must not use the API to circumvent feature limits of your plan.
7. Custom Domains & SSL
You may connect custom domains according to your plan limits: Free (1), Professional (5), Business (25), Enterprise (unlimited). You must own or have authorisation to use the domain. We automatically provision and renew SSL certificates via AWS Certificate Manager. You are responsible for DNS configuration. We reserve the right to remove domains that violate these terms or are used for impersonation.
8. Webhooks & Integrations
When you configure webhooks or third-party integrations (GA4, Meta CAPI, GTM), you are responsible for ensuring your endpoints and third-party accounts comply with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and CCPA). Webhook payloads may contain click event data including approximate geographic location. You must not use this data to re-identify individuals. Failed webhook deliveries are retried up to 3 times; we are not liable for data loss from unresponsive endpoints.
9. Teams & SSO
Professional plan subscribers may add up to 3 team members; Business plan subscribers may add up to 20 team members with role-based access (Member, Editor, Admin, Owner). SSO/SAML 2.0 is available on the Business plan and above. The Team Owner is responsible for managing membership, billing, and compliance within the team. When SAML SSO is enforced, deprovisioned users are automatically removed. We are not liable for actions taken by team members within your organisation.
10. Content Responsibility & No Pre-Screening
You are solely responsible for the URLs you shorten, the destination content, social preview metadata, UTM parameters, A/B test variants, and any data transmitted via webhooks or integrations. Webb.in is a passive technical intermediary — we do not host, store, serve, or exercise any control over the content at any destination URL. The content you link to remains hosted exclusively at its original location by the party who operates that destination; Webb.in merely stores the mapping between the short link and your destination URL. We do not pre-screen destination URLs before a link is created. We operate on a notice-and-takedown basis for most categories of prohibited content. However:
- CSAM and content involving the sexual exploitation of minors is subject to immediate removal, evidence preservation, and mandatory reporting to NCMEC and law enforcement — no notice required.
- Links targeting live, active phishing or malware campaigns are subject to immediate removal without notice.
- We may use automated systems and third-party feeds (e.g., Google Safe Browsing) to detect and block known malicious destinations proactively.
We reserve the right to disable any link, domain, or account at our sole discretion — immediately and without prior notice — if we determine or have reasonable grounds to suspect that it violates these Terms, poses a risk to users or the public, or exhibits signals of abuse (including redirect chaining, click-fraud patterns, destination reputation signals, or high anomalous click rates). Suspicion-based disablements are subject to review if you contact us at report@webb.in within 30 days.
10a. DMCA & Copyright Policy
Webb.in respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. If you believe a short link points to content that infringes your copyright:
To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, provide the following to dmca@webb.in:
- Your name and contact information (email, address, phone number)
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The URL of the infringing Webb.in short link
- The URL where your original, authorised work can be found
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
We will respond to valid DMCA takedown notices and disable the identified link. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated. Counter-notification rights apply under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Filing a false DMCA notice is a federal offence and may expose you to liability.
Our designated DMCA agent for notifications: dmca@webb.in.
11. Data Protection Obligations
If you use the Service to process personal data of individuals in the EEA, UK, or California, you acknowledge:
- You are the data controller for data you collect via your links, webhooks, and integrations
- Webb.in acts as a data processor on your behalf for click analytics and webhook delivery
- You are responsible for providing appropriate privacy notices to end-users clicking your links
- You must have a lawful basis for any data processing you perform using data obtained from the Service
12. Service Availability
We target 99.99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be announced at status.webb.in at least 24 hours in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by AWS infrastructure issues, DNS propagation delays, or force majeure events.
13. Intellectual Property
The Webb.in name, logo, and service design are our intellectual property. You retain ownership of the URLs you create and the content they point to. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, cache, and redirect your URLs and associated metadata for the purpose of providing the Service.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms. For non-egregious violations, we will provide 7 days’ notice via email. You may delete your account at any time via the user portal. Upon termination:
- Active webhooks and integrations are disconnected immediately
- Custom domains and SSL certificates are released within 24 hours
- Short links may continue to redirect for up to 30 days, then be disabled
- Analytics data is anonymised within 30 days
- Billing stops at the end of the current period; no partial refunds
- CSAM, child exploitation, and mandatory-reporting violations result in immediate permanent termination with no cure period, no refund, and no eligibility for reinstatement
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF ANALYTICS DATA. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT REDIRECTS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, OR ERROR-FREE.
16. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WEBB.IN, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING (WITHOUT LIMITATION) LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR REPUTATIONAL HARM, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, AND EVEN IF A REMEDY SET FORTH HEREIN IS FOUND TO HAVE FAILED OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.
OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, STATUTE, OR OTHERWISE), SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100 USD). FOR FREE-TIER USERS WHO HAVE PAID NOTHING, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100 USD) IN THE AGGREGATE.
YOU AGREE THAT ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE MUST BE FILED WITHIN ONE (1) YEAR AFTER THE CLAIM AROSE, OR BE PERMANENTLY BARRED. THIS PROVISION APPLIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
Some jurisdictions (including certain EU member states and the UK) do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities (including for death, personal injury, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or fraud). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. The limitations in this section apply only to the extent permitted in your jurisdiction.
16a. Law Enforcement & Legal Process Cooperation
Webb.in cooperates with law enforcement agencies and courts subject to valid legal process. We disclose account and link information in response to lawful requests, including:
- Subpoenas, court orders, or search warrants issued by courts of competent jurisdiction
- National security letters or other legally compelled process
- Emergency disclosure requests where there is an imminent risk to life
We will notify affected users of any disclosure where legally permitted to do so. For CSAM and content involving child exploitation, we will proactively report to NCMEC (CyberTipline) and relevant authorities without user notice and without requiring a formal legal request. Law enforcement agencies may contact us at legal@webb.in.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Webb.in and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) content you shorten, redirect to, or distribute via the Service; (c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation; (d) your violation of any third party’s rights, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, and data protection rights; (e) any regulatory fines, penalties, or enforcement actions arising from your use of the Service; (f) harm caused to any user or third party who accessed content via a short link you created. This indemnification obligation survives termination of your account.
18. Link Permanence
We intend for shortened URLs to be long-lived, but we cannot guarantee that any URL will redirect indefinitely. Links may be disabled if they violate our terms, are reported as abusive, if the associated account is terminated, or if the Service is discontinued. We will provide at least 90 days’ notice before discontinuing the redirection service entirely.
19. Modifications to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with the changes, you may delete your account before the effective date.
20. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Except where prohibited by applicable law and subject to the consumer rights described below, any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules and Consumer Arbitration Rules where applicable. Arbitration shall take place in Wilmington, Delaware, or via teleconference. The arbitrator’s decision is final and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights or to prevent imminent harm. Claims of $10,000 USD or less may, at the claimant’s election, be brought in small-claims court in your county of residence.
Consumer rights: If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction whose laws guarantee you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts under your local law, nothing in this section limits those rights. Consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
20a. Class Action & Jury Trial Waiver
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND WEBB.IN AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, REPRESENTATIVE, OR CONSOLIDATED ACTION. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not preside over any form of class proceeding.
WHERE PERMITTED BY LAW, BOTH PARTIES WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY. This waiver does not apply to consumers in jurisdictions whose laws prohibit such waivers.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or, if no such modification is possible, shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The waiver of any provision shall not constitute a continuing waiver.
21a. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performance to the extent caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, riots, embargoes, sanctions, governmental orders, public-health emergencies, pandemics, epidemics, labour disputes, internet or telecommunications failures, cloud-provider outages (including AWS region failures), cyber-attacks, DDoS, or denial of access to essential resources. Obligations to pay amounts already due are not excused.
21b. Export Controls & Economic Sanctions
The Service, its technology, and all related data may be subject to U.S. and other applicable export control and sanctions laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and OFAC regulations. You agree not to use, export, re-export, transfer, or make available the Service or any related data, software, or technical information to (i) any country, region, or person subject to comprehensive U.S., EU, UK, or UN sanctions, (ii) any individual or entity on a restricted-party list, or (iii) any prohibited end-use including weapons of mass destruction or unauthorised military / intelligence applications. You represent and warrant compliance with all such laws.
21c. Beta & Experimental Features
From time to time we may make beta, preview, experimental, or “labs” features available. Such features are provided “as-is”, may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice, may have reduced or no SLA, and may not be subject to the same security or privacy controls as generally-available features. You use beta features at your sole risk. We disclaim all warranties and liability for beta features to the maximum extent permitted by law.
21d. Third-Party Services & Destination Content
Webb.in is a URL-shortening and redirection intermediary only. We do not host, store, serve, cache, copy, transmit, or exercise any editorial control over the content located at any destination URL. A short link created through the Service is nothing more than a pointer — a technical redirect record — that forwards a visitor’s browser to the original destination URL, which continues to be hosted and served exclusively by the third party that operates that destination. Webb.in has no possession or control of that content at any time.
The Service redirects to destinations on the public internet that are operated by third parties. We do not control, endorse, vouch for, or accept any responsibility for the availability, accuracy, legality, safety, security, or content of any destination URL. Your interactions with any third-party site, including any transaction, communication, or transmission of data, are solely between you and the third party. Webb.in is not liable for any damages, losses, or harm arising from your access to or reliance on any destination content reached through a short link.
21e. Anti-Spam & Bulk Messaging Compliance
If you distribute Webb.in short links via email, SMS, push, in-app messaging, or any other messaging channel, you are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable anti-spam laws, including (but not limited to) the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, the U.S. TCPA, the Canadian Anti-Spam Law (CASL), the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and the EU ePrivacy Directive / GDPR. You agree:
- To obtain all required consents (including opt-in consent where required by law) before sending messages containing Webb.in links
- To include working unsubscribe / opt-out mechanisms and accurate sender identification
- Not to use Webb.in to disguise the origin or true destination of unsolicited messages
- To honour all opt-out requests promptly
Repeated complaints from messaging-service providers, blocklists (e.g., Spamhaus, SURBL), or recipients may result in immediate suspension of affected links and your account.
21f. Reverse Engineering & Security Research
Except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law (e.g., for legitimate interoperability research), you agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; (b) attempt to derive source code or underlying algorithms; (c) bypass, disable, or circumvent any authentication, rate-limiting, security, or access-control mechanism; (d) probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any system or network without our prior written consent (other than under our coordinated disclosure policy); or (e) use the Service to develop a competing product through scraping or extraction of our data, content, or models.
Responsible security disclosure is welcomed: email security@webb.in. We will not pursue legal action against good-faith security research that follows our coordinated-disclosure guidelines.
21g. Trademark & Brand Use
“Webb.in”, the Webb.in logo, “webb.in”, and related marks are trademarks of Webb.in (or its operators). You may not use, register, or imitate these marks, or any confusingly similar marks, domain names, or branding, without our prior written consent. You may not represent any affiliation, sponsorship, partnership, or endorsement that does not exist. Limited fair-use referential use (e.g., factual press coverage) is permitted.
21h. Feedback Licence
Any suggestions, ideas, feedback, enhancement requests, bug reports, or other input you provide regarding the Service (“Feedback”) is given on a non-confidential basis. You grant Webb.in a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, modify, exploit, and incorporate the Feedback into the Service or any other product or service, without compensation or attribution.
21i. Taxes
Subscription fees are quoted exclusive of applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax, withholding tax, digital-services taxes) unless explicitly stated otherwise. You are responsible for all such taxes, duties, and government charges levied on your purchase, except for taxes based on our net income. Where required by law, we will collect and remit applicable taxes via Stripe Tax or an equivalent provider.
21j. Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, or sublicense your rights or obligations under these Terms, in whole or in part, without our prior written consent. Any attempted assignment in violation of this section is void. We may assign these Terms in whole or in part without notice in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganisation, financing, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets.
21k. Notices & Electronic Communications
By using the Service you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including transactional emails, billing notices, security alerts, abuse notifications, and changes to these Terms. Notices to you will be sent to the email address on file (or, where required, posted in the user portal or on our status page). You are responsible for keeping your email address current. Notices to Webb.in must be sent to legal@webb.in, with a courtesy copy via certified mail where legally required.
21l. Entire Agreement & No Waiver
These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy, any data processing addendum, plan-specific terms, and any signed enterprise order form) constitute the entire agreement between you and Webb.in regarding the Service, and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings or agreements. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. No oral statement, course of dealing, or trade usage may modify these Terms.
21m. Survival
The following provisions survive termination or expiry of these Terms: Sections covering Acceptable Use violations occurring before termination, Content Responsibility, DMCA, Data Protection Obligations, Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Law Enforcement Cooperation, Governing Law & Dispute Resolution, Class Action Waiver, Export Controls, Feedback Licence, Taxes (for amounts accrued), and this Survival clause, along with any provision that by its nature is intended to survive.
21n. U.S. Federal Government Users
If you are a U.S. federal government end-user, the Service is “Commercial Computer Software” and the related documentation is “Commercial Computer Software Documentation”, as those terms are used in 48 C.F.R. § 12.212 and 48 C.F.R. § 227.7202. Use, duplication, or disclosure by the U.S. Government is subject to the restrictions in these Terms.
22. Contact
If you have questions about these Terms of Service, contact us at support@webb.in.
